Paladin announces CEO change

Today, we announce that Kay Gruenwoldt, current CEO, is leaving Paladin, and that Executive Chairman and co-founder Derk de Geus will take up the role of CEO again.

Kay: “The last 2 years have been some of the most challenging as well as rewarding years for the studio and myself. It has been an honor to contribute to the success we built as a studio during that time, and lead a team of extraordinary individuals creating award winning games with some of the best partners in the industry. I can’t wait to see where Paladin’s journey takes the company, and will remain their biggest fan.”

Derk de Geus, co-founder, previous CEO and Executive Chairman, will for now take up the role of CEO. He says: “It has been a pleasure to work with Kay. He has strengthened the organization over the past years, and Paladin is in good shape with a strong team and several great games in production. I am happy to pick up the torch and take it from there. We are all excited about the road ahead and I want to thank Kay for his contributions in getting us to where we are today.”

It has been an honor to work with Kay and we all wish him the very best with his new endeavors!
